Nonprofit Management Certificate Program

In 2007 San José State University Professional Development discontinued all their public certificate programs.  CompassPoint, in partnership with San José State University has relaunched the program in a brand new format.   See below for more details and please check this page in the future for updated information about the new program.  If you would like to be on an email list for updates please email nelsonl@compasspoint.org. We are excited to announce that this past spring we relaunched the program through CompassPoint's extensive nonprofit workshop program.

Credits and transcripts are issued through San Jose State University at a cost of $45 per CEU.  CompassPoint will provide workshop participants with the proper forms and instructions on how to obtain credits.  The  Certificate will be issued by CompassPoint Nonprofit Services and is recognized by San Jose State Univeristy IES.

Earning a Certificate:

A participant will earn a full certificate by accumulating 8.0 or more CEU’s.

Electives:

(Note: There is a change in the structure of electives from what was previously published) 

Electives will be offered in course groupings of specific workshops in CompassPoint's workshop program that will be completed during a specific term.  These groupings will equal 2.0 to 3.0 CEU's (depending on the workshop topics) Example:

Managing People in Nonprofits 2.0 CEU's
Student must complete 3 workshops within the term:

• Supervision
• Coaching Skills for Managers
• Volunteer Management 101
