| Fast Forward Grants for Accounting & Fundraising Software | |

Contact: A unique grant program to fast-track nonprofits into integrated fundraising and accounting software was announced today. Open to community-based nonprofits in the East Bay and Silicon Valley, this program has been dubbed F4: Fast Forward-Finance & Fundraising. Awardees will receive QuickBooks Pro accounting software and Exceed! Basic fundraising software, training in both programs, and one-year support contracts for each. F4 is a joint program of CompassPoint Nonprofit Services, a nonprofit training and consulting firm, and Telosa Software, a fundraising and information software company. The program is underwritten by Community Foundation Silicon Valley and the East Bay Community Foundation. Exceed! Basic software has been donated by Telosa, and QuickBooks Pro by Intuit. "This is an exciting pilot program for small and mid-sized community-based organizations," commented Jan Masaoka of CompassPoint. "Many important organizations are struggling right now, and getting integrated accounting and fundraising software may be just what they need." Susan Orr at Telosa Software agreed: "These two software programs are affordable and friendly, and this pilot will help us learn more about how to help nonprofits 'fast forward' their systems." Eligible nonprofits provide services in the East Bay and/or Silicon Valley, use Windows 2000 or higher, and want to make better use of accounting and donor information.
